March 28th

Aaron Saenz is born 9lbs 9oz 22in

My friend and coworker Hillary had her baby boy today, their both doing well! Brady can't wait for him to grow so they can play together!

March 23rd

Happy Easter!

This was Brady's 2nd Easter, however, last year he was just a couple of weeks old, so this year was a little more exciting! Brady was spoiled once again, receiving 3 Easter baskets, one from us, one from Mimi & Popi, & one from Nana & Grandpa! We celebrated this year with just my family, my mom cooked a prime rib and tons of sides, when we got there was a basket waiting for Brady on the porch from Nana & Grandpa b/c they spent Easter in Paris, TX.

Brady was taking a nap when the big kids hunted their eggs so we hid them again for him, though, he was much more into throwing them than hunting them!

Looking inside his Easter basket at our house, he got a little basket with all the Seasme Street characters and a set of Easter Little People, his bunny ears, a fun crazyblue ball, and a little monkey that is magentic that goes on the fridge.

Opening his Easter basket from Mimi and Popi, he got a Music Machine & Bullfrogs & Butterflies cd, which was a record that we grew up listen too

Opening his Basket from Nana & Grandpa, Nana was very creative and stuck puffs in his eggs, he got bubbles, books, a couple of outfits, ducks, and a bunny baseball player

March 20th

First Real Toothbrush

After using a gum brush that fits on your finger for months and Brady bitting down on me with now with 12 teeth (March 16th noticed 2 top molars coming in; April 4th bottom two molars coming in), I decided it was time for a real toothbrush, and don't ask why I didn't think of it earlier! Brady still loves getting his teeth brushed but of course he thinks he can do it himself, so when I finish, I let me suck the water off and play with it for a little while!

I love this picture, those big blue eyes are to die for!

March 17th

St. Patrick Day Fun

Some of our dearest friends, Sammy & Shannon, had this pony shipped to Brady for his B-Day! When you push on ear, it sings a little song, and every time it finishes Brady makes this sweet little noise to let us know he wants it to play again, Brady loves it! He rocks it back and forth and now b/c of this pony, every time he sits on something he starts rocking back and forth b/c he thinks it should rock too!

Susan and Jon's Baby Shower

My good friends Susan and Jon, which I have been teaching with for the last five years are expecting a their first boy at the end of this month! Susan and I met my first year of teaching and became really good friends along with Tarenthia, Melita, and Tiffany, we actually even went on a girls trip one summer to New York and a year later Jon came to teach and they hit it off and we've all continued to be good friends, I just love my school, it's like a second family here!

Yippee Ka Yea, Brady's 1 today!

Wow, I know I say it all the time but time really does fly! Our lil boy is growing up way to fast! Brady woke up this morning like every other morning and we started our morning routine. I decided give him a little treat for breakfast since was his b-day, so I got him some donut holes, which he was not a fan of, his not into sweets so much! His mimi picked him up early from daycare and I picked him up and headed home to meet Ryan, of course after I got some pictures of him fishing! Ryan and I decided to take him to a little pizza buffet around the corner from our house, he was a little fussy and not eating as much as usually and he kept pulling Ryan's arm to him and laying on it, but I just though he might be fussy b/c he was tired, well about 15 minutes after being home from dinner, he proved us wrong, and throw up all over himself in the grass outside luckily! Ryan just thought it was a fluke b/c he'd been real snotty, so Ryan thought he just got sick from all that! So we threw him in the bath and decided to go ahead and head to our church and play b-ball like we were planning, and as we were about to exit Brady threw up in his car seat, so we took a detour to Mimi and Popi's house and Brady and I ended up spending the night there! Luckily, my spring break was the next week b/c this bug ended up lasted almost 1 1/2 and when I thought he was getting better, Sat. 15th he woke up with a rash, and ended up having pityirisis rosea and an ear infection. So needless to say, Brady and mom and dad, had a pretty rough week! What a remember able birthday, which proved to be not just an ordanary day for sure!

March 8th

Brady's Birthday Party

Brady's birthday party was a hit, a huge hit! Our house was so packed, I made Ryan set up the washer boards so they could play washers! As you can see it was a western theme party! You know how I love taking pictures, so I was trying to think of a fun way to get all the kids pictures and think of a fun party favor, so I painted a cowboy and cowgirl cut outs and Ryan cut them out and it worked perfect, even the grown ups had fun with them!

When everyone first arrived we mingled a little inside and then the kids headed to the new playground and the men headed out front to play washers, while some stayed in and played video games!

Then came presents, there were so many though, we had to stop opening and let Brady eat his cake because he was getting tired quickly and ready for a nap!

We decided to do cake in the garage to help with mess, he wasn't real sure what he thought of the cake but he eventually ate a few bites!

After that we headed back in and I got to open the rest of his present while Brady had a bottle and got ready for his nap! It was so much fun, I honestly was in shock all day that we were actaully celebrated Brady's b-day, he just doesn't seem big enough to be a year already!
