March 14th
BIG Boy Underoos

March 12th, Brady turned 26 months and his teacher Ms. Amy told me to start bringing some underwear for Brady, that she was ready to start really working on potty training! I was shocked to say the least! I guess Brady is doing better at school than at home, I can't get him to sit on the potty for nothing anymore! But, he seems to be pottying at school, he doesn't say he needs to go, but will go when its diaper changing time! Come to find out, she is just putting the underwear on top of Brady's pull ups to have him get used to them! So, today was the first day to wear his new Elmo undies, of course, I had to take off the diaper and let him run around for an hour or so in just his Elmos! Look at my skinny little man! On the way home before stripping him down to his Elmos he got a hold of some of his undies and stuck him on his head, he's such a ham!

I LOVE BEING A MOM! Even though their are days Brady might wear me out or drive me crazy, I love him more than life itself and I'm so thankful that God gave him to me! And I'm also very blessed to have the best mom & mother-in-law in the world!

Avery turns 2!
Avery turned 2 yesterday and today we celebrated at Pump it Up Jr. in plano, if you keep up with the blog, this is the place Tarenthia and I took the kids once this summer! Brady in the beginning was having a good time, we soon realized though he wasn't interested in doing anything really especially by himself, and even more so when Elmo arrived! Brady literally sat in Ryan's lap for 3o minutes or more while Elmo was there! He had one eye covered with his little fist, hiding and anytime Elmo got closer he put both hands up! But the bday girl loved Elmo and so did Liam!

Our Crazy Kids!

Mothers of Boys Conference: Featuring Sheri Rose Shepherd

I got an opportunity not go back Sat. morning and here Sheri Rose Shepherd speak to us again, she has a book called Preparing Him for Another Women and goes around to different states sharing it at Mothers of Boys Conference. I've always known that I wanted to be a mom and since high school I just always had a feeling I would be a mom of boys! And you all know I love my little boy and for those who ask me which I want to have next a boy or a girl my anwser is always a little boy, I would have a house full of boys if I could! Don't get me wrong I would love and cherish a little girl too, but there's just something about little boys! And after hearing her speak this weekend I realized even more how special it is and what a opportunity we have to teach our boys how not only to be a man, but a Godly man, and a man that knows how to treat a lady! She refers to Mothers of Boys as the First Lady, I hadn't thought of it that way, but we are their First Lady, we are the first glance what a lady looks like and acts like, it makes you think twice about how you act for sure! Anyway her message tries to teach mothers "the faith, wisdom and strength to raise a toddler or a teen to grow up to be a great husband and a man of his word...equipped to remain faithful and experience a happy and healthy family.
It's true...A Mother's influence can change the success rate of the next generation's marriages.
What a great gift to give to our sons!
The time is now to prepare our boys for victory.
We do not have to wait for the world to change its moral fiber to win this war against broken homes, broken hearts, infidelity and divorce. A mother is the first lady in her son’s life and her love and influence in her beloved boy’s life can help change the success rate of the next generation’s marriages and rebuild the foundation of family ... one boy at a time."
I truly enjoyed myself and although I can't fathom the fact that Brady will be dating a girl someday needless to say getting married, in fact the thought of it actual makes me sick to my stomach, I can only pray that God will give me strengh to teach him how to be a Strong, Pure, Honorable, Loyal, and Respectful man and that some other mom out there is teaching the same kind of values my future daughter-in-law! I wanted to buy one of her books so badly but moneys a little tight, but I guess God thougtht I really needed to have one, my friend Melissa Thomas should up at my house Monday, with a gift for me for taking some pictures of her awhile back and she got me the book! Thank you Melissa!

Dine By Design
Tonight was my first time to go Dine by Design at church. It's a night where ladies can host tables and decorate them galore, eat dinner just us ladies and the husbands serve us. Jennifer and another girl from our new Sunday School Carrie Wells class hosted our table, Walk His Way, it was very cute! I took just a couple of pictures of some of my favorite tables and they were taking on my phone so their not the best! After dinner, they had a guest speaker, Sheri Rose Shephard come and speak to us, she was a hoot and was a wonderful inspiration to hear from!

So, your probably asking why I have a picture of a laytex glove & a bunny, glad you asked! I have to stories, one that Brady will for sure kill me someday for sharing! Ok so the which came first, the bunny or the glove, I think the bunny!
Bunny-One Sunday morning while waiting to take a shower with his daddy, Brady had just skinned a rabbit and was standing naked next to Ryan. You could totally see the wheels in Brady's head turning...he looked at his privates and then looked at Ryan's and then looked and his and looked and Ryan's and then he points to his and says, "My bunny" and then points to Ryan's, almost touching it and says, "Daddy's bunny!" Ryan and I first looked each other like did he just say that, then we just died laughing. Since, then we've tried to call it other things but his convince its his bunny! Ryan and his mom even thought maybe he was saying buddy, I claimed that was worse and after listening to him, its for sure bunny!
Glove-Ok, so the ladies at daycare where these gloves to change diapers, and I one say when I picked up Brady he asked his teacher Ms. Amy for one and as we were leaving, Nanny said to me, "you know he gets one of this almost everyday," I just laughed and didn't think anything of it! Then not a couple of days later, Brady had a glove as we were leaving and brought it home with us...that same glove we had for 4 days!!!! He slept with it, in fact the first night he wanted his glove instead of is blanket! He woke up in the middle of the night screaming for it, it carries it around waded up in his little fist, and when he goes to eat or anything else he'll put it in his pocket! And it has turned into a daily ordeal, the ladies everyday at daycare give him a clean glove! It's funny and extremely wierd at the same time! Paw Paw is convinced he's going to be a doctor!

My Crazy Little Baseball Guy

Well you all know how much Brady loves baseball, so today when we got home we played with Sandy next door and Brady decided to gear up! He was cracking me up! We had just thrown a fit minutes before, b/c he didn't want to take pictures for his Nanny & Mimi for Mother's Day so I made him take off the shirt he was wearing b/c I didn't want to get it dirty and of course he didn't want to wear anything else so we went shirtless! So seeing him not only geared up but shirtless and skinny was a hoot!

Tumbling
When I went to pick up Brady today the gymnastic teacher that usually comes for the older was just getting in Brady's room to do a little exercise and asked if he could stay. This was Brady's first time to tumbling, and after he caught enough courage to get out of my lap in joined in! I took this on my camera, so there not the best but you get the idea!
